Wow, I just watched Equilibrium for the first time a week ago and I
absolutely love it. Then I stumbled across this site and wow...it just
blows my mind. The amount of information on this site is AMAZING. So I
figured this is the best place to ask...does anyone know where I can
get the soundtrack to this movie? I've looked EVERYWHERE and I just
cannot find it. Any help would be appreciated, just e-mail me. Thank

Hi fess, it is "the very beginning of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, First
Movement. The exact one used in the film is unknown since it is not
listed in the end credits. Wimmer does mention on the DVD commentary
that he intended to use the Karajan rendition but was unable to due to
cost. In the end he had to settle on a bargain bin version." (quoted
from the Interrogation page.)

Got a question?? I have seen several images on the web that shows
Bale's Character and Emily Watson's character in an embrace, one where
they both appear to be naked, (head shots) and one where she touches
his face just before she dies. Now are those deleted scenes, made up,
or what? Does anybody know?? Just curious...

I agree this site is really cool and I adore Christian Bale, great
actor and he does rock in Batman Begins, seen it 5 times and watched
Equilibrium over 3 times, just bought it. And as far as I heard
Christian Bale has signed up to do 3 Batman movies total, VERY COOL, he
gets to dawn the batsuit again.... :P

This movie was better than the 1st & 2nd Star Wars movies and also,
the last Matrix movie. It should've gotten more credit. Well, at least

I think it's so cool you've managed to track down audio samples of what
Christian Bale actually sounds like (its actually quite difficult,
unless you're up to seeing a certain disney movie). Anyway, the film
absolutely rocks and so does your site (I

I love this site, it has the best pictures on the web, so far. I am
also looking for the soundtrack to the movie, but as I have found it is
rare and it was hardly produced. On Ebay there is a copy of a copy but
it did not get good ratings. I too am looking for a copy....but I sense
there is none to find.

What a site! What a film! I am a Graphic Designer and during my
learning experiences I've created a new trailer for the film based on
the way I feel the original trailer didn't do it justice. I would like
to see the film rereleased and I think a remade version of my trailer
might boost the audience thus creating the enormous fan base this movie

I strongly recommend seeking professional help by some qualified
psychiatrist for everyone who actually liked this unbelievably stupid

This has to be one of the most underrated movies of all time. Script,

I happened across Equilibrium recently and had never heard of it. I was
surprised to see the innovation (such as the Gun-Kata idea). Very good

Very nice site. Glad to see someone give this movie its dues. Just
finished reading your posts about it on imdb. Wow, that one guy - a
real moron. He seemed to me in a state of constant contradiction. You
handled things very nicely. Very calm and intelligent. Not something I

Some may question Preston having the resources and the capability to
hack into the computer network and change the results of the test, what
is obvious is that Preston came up with the scheme, but if he didn't
change the results of the test, then the only other possibility is that
his Resistance friends who have secret members throughout Libria did it
for him.

Continuing for my last post Preston hacks into the computer network and
uses the identification number of Brandt’s gun to change the results of
the test, so that the test shows that it was Brandt’s guns that killed
the Sweepers not Preston’s guns. The hacking part is never shown as it
wants to be kept a secret for suspense but there are scenes in the
movie of Preston using the computer capably so this is most almost
certainly what happened.

This is one of my new favorite movies of which I just saw yesterday. In
response to your FAQ's question on gun switching I have the definitive
answer. When it comes to Preston’s gun switching, many viewers of the
movie don’t seem to understand what happened. So let me summarize it,
Preston killed the Sweepers with his own guns, later on in the
warehouse Brandt sees Preston with only one gun which he is holding
with his left hand, Brandt offers his own gun to Preston with which to
be adequately equipped to kill the resistance members, Preston takes it
with his right hand, a short time later Preston tells Brandt that it
would be better if he takes this one, then Preston gives his own gun
which recall he is holding with his left hand to Brandt. Brandt takes
Preston’s gun perhaps without realizing at that moment that it is not
his. Preston keeps Brandt’s gun and with it he has what he needs to
cover his tracks. Preston hacks into the computer network and uses the

Brandt the one in his left hand, but you get the picture...It's also
interesting that Preston missed his wife and later both kids being "off
the dose". Good thing the powers that be missed that...

Great film, great site...don't know what all the to do is about the gun
switch though... Preston takes Brandt's pistol with his left and hands
back his own, which was in his right hand when he entered the room
(watch when they pan across). What's more curious is how things were
planned out, and (on a more humorous note) how after machine gunning
the last 2 guards outside Dupont's chamber 2 more mysteriously appear
in the doorway to fall thru and in to the room.

Wow, kick ass with the site! This has to be one of the most original,
well-built, all around amazing sites I've ever come across! Way to get
the motif just right! While I'm not as die-hard a fan of the film as
many visitors here (it didn't form a satisfying whole for me; I refer
to it as a flawed masterpiece), I did enjoy it for many of the same
reasons, namely, its originality, style, performances (and at least the
intention behind the story). It's definitely worthy of a bad-ass site
like this. It's great to find people passionate enough about a good
film to put up such a fantastic site. And yes, the Gun-Kata rocked!

Alright Jenge here it is straight forward: This is the coolest movie
