Saturday,
February 3 saw a number of Equilibrium & Christian Bale fans join
forces in the city of Derby, UK for a screening of EQ.
Though our numbers were relatively few the excitement sparked the air
with conversations, laughter, and comradery. Of those
present only two had witnessed the film on a large scale and
knew what lay ahead.

I let the chimes that announced the call finish their chimey thing, and
finished my mid-morning syn-caf while I waited for the vidwindow on the
phone to open. I switched off the ‘cast which had been droning in
the background, something about protesters on the steps of the Council
Chambers. I was office-assistant-less on Mondays.

Just a reminder. December 6th marks the forth anniversary of
Equilibrium's release in the USA. It is difficult for me to comprehend
that four years have passed since I had the opportunity to sit in that
theater and see a film that would change my life. I never dreamed there
would be a time I would run a fansite and receive so much joy from
doing it. I owe all of the wonderful EQ fans who have put so much of
themselves into the site!!

to my place. It was only two stops and a short stroll
along. I lived in a building on the edge of the industrial
district, not far from the TranspoLibria maintenance depot; you
could see the grey, hulking metal-roofed shops among steel power masts
topped with blinking lights visible at night. My street was drab,
faceless, with lookalike fronts; a wholesale electrical equipment
dealer, a medical supply outfit, a food delivery service’s motorshop,
offices of chemical engineering contractors, a commercial
laundry. If you went to the top floor of my building and looked
out through the window of the top landing, you might be able to
see, tucked in among low hills to the west, the cooling tower of the
Libria #3 power plant.

site were suspended while I prepared to transfer the site to it's new
and permanent home...

KB:...Kurt is an amazing writer and he...I remember...I was
think Equlibrium was, if I remember right was the first picture, a
studio picture, I ever wrote so I *laughs* sat down for weeks. He was
still shooting in Rome and in Berlin, so I was sitting down for three
or two or three weeks and I wrote this very long, in my terms, very
long piece...about twenty minutes. Twenty minutes of music, which came
to my mind not having seen anything actually of the picture. And I
think we were able to--which was great luck!--were able to use about
90% of what I wrote. You can hear in the movie basically unchanged even
though I never wrote it to picture.

Dear Equilibrium Fans,
I am constantly surprised by the new elements that I am able to add to
the site. This month I have included preliminary artwork for
Equilibrium by Steve Werblun who also did many of the storyboards which
are already there.
Also it seems an anime "Trinity Blood" has shots that appear to be
"copy and pastes" from EQ. Come take a look and make your own
judgement...
